    **help asap need torque spec for carrillo rods (riva)

    Hello all ,

    The engine builder just rung me and the box I got sent to me (Rods, Piston etc) didnt come with the torque spec for the Riva Carillo rods bolts!!!

    Connecting Rod Set, YAM SHO (set of 4) [RY19040-9M5709S] - $1,099.00 : PWCPerformance.com

    Need them ASAP , I've sent an email off to Jerry.

    They are Carrillo rods. Riva doesn't have torque specs on them.

    Last rods I did was 90 lb/ft, but that was ARP bolts

    I second using ARP rod bolts. Although torque will get you pretty close, the best way to do them is to measure the "stretch". Also you need to use the proper lubricant on the bolts (usually ARP bolts comes with some). Of course you will need the proper stretch gauge in order to do that, but it is really the best way to go.
