    RXT Replacement Grips

Anyone ever replaced their grips on a 4-tec? Mine are tearing on one of my RXT's. There are a couple different types available for sale in the performance parts store. Would like to hear if there is a preferred type. Is the install difficult?

I think those ODI grips will work. Let me know as I want to replace mine too. I may have an extra OEM outer grip if you need it.

I have the ODI grips. They're SWEET!!! I had THESE, but after a while they started to get sticky, and I just found these ODI grips from Troy Lee Designs. The color is a little bright, but hopefully with a little sun fade/wear they'll darken up.

Install is a snap. To remove the old ones, pull the plug from the bar end, and unscrew the 10mm bolt. Once the bolt is out, slide the grip off. On the handlebar is a threaded insert. Remove it, it's no longer needed. Install the new ODI grips, and tighten with an allen wrench. Simple as that. Install should take no longer than 10 minutes for both sides.

What size did you get? 130mm or 120

I Just got my 120mm ODI Rouge but they have a flange and I don't see any without, Are you guys finding them with out or cutting it off?

What year ski? I had to extend the handlebar to fit 120 or 130mm Odi grips on my 05 RXT. The bars are to short so you won't be able to tighten the end clamp. I found this out the hard way. I believe someone used to make a slug to bolt on the bars to extend them but I couldn't find them anymore. I instead welded a new section of pipe onto the bar end to fit 130mm grips. If your going to swap to ODI go for the 130mm. I have ODI Yeti 130mm, very nice, better grip especially when wet.

06 RXT with 130 Rogue that I got thru the store from Jerry's recommendation. Love them. So much better than the OEM grips.
When you take off the OEM, don't try and save them. Just slice them and peel off.

My stock ones are all sticky too. Time to replace. The ODI ones look nice.
