    2010 VX thru-hull exhaust

I finally finished my through hull exhaust.....no one makes anything for 2010 and up vx.....so this is how I did it.....Take it from me it sure sounds good, it might not go faster but the cool factor is high.

    what I used:

R&D 2.75 exhaust tip (99.00 from greenhulk parts)

Riva 2009 and down free flow pipe ( I bought this earlier but would not fit my ski)
    also bought from greenhulk....119.00

    2' 2.5" alum. 90 degree pipe

    2.5" silicone conector

    2.5 to 2.75 silicone 45 degree reducer

T-bolt clamps (20 times the grip of worm gear clamp)

The hard part of this is getting the nerve to cut a hole in your ski
First thing is to relocate the right tie down hook 180 degrees to the left (just flip it over and drill a 1/4" hole then bolt it back up.

Make a template of the tip opening out of cardboard and center to the right of tie down hook and mark center......check and recheck, flange will clear tie down by 1/8"( this part took over an hour measureing to be perfect) useing a 3.0" hole saw cut a hole. test fit tip, may need to grind weld on tip to make fit nice. Useing the exhaust tip mark and drill 6 mounting holes.

apply a LARGE bead of sealer around tip and install with stainless hardware.

the rest is a piece of cake:

cut a piece of 1/8" thick alum. plate into a 5 1/4" circle this will be the stock exhaust block off plate, use the stock exhaust bolt cage to mark and drill 6-1/4" holes , use stock exhaust defuser as the gasket and bolt it up. This works real nice....important to use 1/8 thick alum because of the shouldered bolts.

cut 6" off one end of the 2.5" alumium pipe.

install 2.5 to 2.75 silicone reducer to the tip and clamp.

install the 2.5 silicone splice to the cut end of alum. pipe and slide on toriva free flow pipe and clamp and done.
I already had the riva pipe, but if you didnt, you could get a 135 degree alum. pipe and cut out what you needed

No, it is very light wieght, I also used T-bolt clamps. It's not going anywhere......I havent tested on rough water or anything, but would be very easy to add a bracket to one of the t-bolts if needed.
