2006 GTX SC 185 Supercharger questions

I know the clutch problem has been beaten to death, but with all the redesigns of the supercharger, I am a little confused. I have recently purchased a 2006 GTX SC with 38 hours, and know I have the ceramic washers. Are there also ceramic bearings? Are the washers all that needs to be replaced? Do I have the updated shaft? If not, do I need the updated shaft? The number of different superchargers (and designs) Seadoo has used over the last 8 years is mind numbing.

You will need to swap the ceramic clutch washers out for metal ones. Your oem sc doesn't have ceramic bearings from the factory. But you can replaced your metal bearings for ceramics... With that low of hours there is no need to update the shaft....I would order riva metal washers, new needle bearings, mcmasters spring washers and a pack of shims.....hope this helps.....

    Thank you Brandon!

Brandon gave you some good advice. All you need is the Riva clutch washers.

FYI, the Ceramic bearings were discontinued some time back.

Thanks. It's still under an extended service contract, and there is still snow here, so I have a few months. How hard is it to remove the s/c?

If you can turn a wrench you can pull the supercharger...look in the how to section for removing the supercharger.swapping the washers is simple with the proper tools...if your not comfortable swapping the washers send it to jerry....
