Adding an auto bilge pump... wiring question
I'm going to add the jetworks mod to my ski, so I'm thinking about doing this for my bilge pump...
Buy the rule automatic 500gph bilge pump (it checks for water every 2.5 mins), wire it to the lanyard (apparently a brown wire?) so it starts its water checking cycle whenever I plug in my lanyard, and run the hose out under the grab bar
I thought about putting a switch in the glovebox, but this way would be simpler plus I wont ever be without a bilge pump because i forgot to turn a switch on
My question is... how will I access the lanyard wires? Do i have to remove the steering cover and bars to get to it? Or can I splice into it from the engine bay somewhere?

This diagram may help. You should be able to access the wires under the hood, look for the connector with the Red and Brown wires.
The lanyard powers the start switch. I tapped into the wire between the lanyard and start switch Brown wire. You have the do it inside the handlebar switch.
Then I ran the wire to the fuse, and then to the pump. Its nice to be able to turn on the bilge any time you need to with the lanyard.

What kind of auto bilge pump would y'all recommend? I don't have a pump and I def think this would be the place to start! Thanks chris
