    removing water pump impeller

Any trick to gripping this without breaking it? I am understanding that it unscrews clockwise as seen from impeller side.

Please be a little more clear; are you talking about the jet pump impeller or water pump impeller as found in the 4-TEC engine? What ski?

If you are talking about the jet pump impeller, you do realize that you need an impeller tool to remove it, right?

I used a wide blade screw driver and tapped it with a rubber mallet. quick rap. It will loosen, use caution to not damage any wings/vanes.

Yes, water pump impeller 2006 RXP. I have already removed PTO cover and am trying to hold oil pump shaft with cresent. I guess I'll try the vise. You confirmed backwards thread and nothing better than scredriver. I tried a strap wrench but there is not enough edge to get good grip.

    Thanks!!!!!
