What's the difference between the FFI and Carb'd stators?

Working on my el-cheapo Genesis that came without a stator. I'm looking at the parts x-reference and it appears that all 1200 Ficht machines use the same magneto.

I have a spare 1200 stator from one of my carb'd machines that I'd like to drop in, at least to see if the thing will run and the EMM is even functioning at all.

Does anyone know for sure what the difference is?

    Sweet! Let me know!!

Looking as some pics online, it looks like the FFI stator doesn't have a base plate, correct? Since the ski didn't come with one and this is my first FFI engine, I have no idea how the stator mounts. The housing appears to be the same as a carb'd tripple so I would have expected the mounting bolts to be the same. How exactly does the FFI stator bolt to the MAG housing?

    Ficht 'magneto' stators
First two shown are from 2002 Genesis i, last is from an MSX 140.

All Ficht stators have the same part number 4010320

5631069 Plate, Stator Mount (Item 14 in diagram) used in all Ficht engines, all years and models

Yes, actually. It almost looks like the ones I was looking at on the 'bay didn't have the backing plates with them.
