    Video of my 1200 78.3mph

    Just another video of my 80mph GPR 1200 project. Still have more tuning to make 80mph.
    This 1200 is ported by Water Woody. It pulls very hard for 1200cc and likes to turn between 7000rpm and 7100rpm. In the video its turning a 14/25 And it was still gaining speed but I ran out of room and had to lift off the throttle.

    Its impressive for only being a little 1200. A few months ago I ran a friend with a fully bolt on 1300 with everything expect porting and it was turning a 14/20 prop around 7280rpm. The 1200 was turning a 14/23.5 and the acceleration was equal.

    Anyways... Shooting for 80mph soon before I put my 1390cc top end on.

    what other mods do u have done ??? i have a gpr1200 also and finally got it running right so now i want to add some extra parts. so far i have a r&d rideplate, (supposedly an early model jims plate) R&d intake grate 1200, dplate & ecu mod, wave eaters, R&D power plenium air filter, rebuilt & jetted carbs to osidebills specs, new spark plug wires, new fuel lines, new pulse lines, riva pump seal kit. i want to send the head out to jim, this week, other than that i plan on adding a leo's holeshot kit and pump wedge, then the jetworks mod and i think ill be done. anyways nice ski!!!! wish mine was that fast!!!!

    Mods-
    Ported Cylinders
    Blackjack 48mm carbs
    V-Force2 Reeds
    ADA Head 165 psi
    5 degree keyway
    Protec CDI
    '05 HO pump with 2" spacer
    Dynafly 14/23.5
    85mm nozzle
    Jims plate set at over 1"
    stock Tabs shimmed at .110" and .160" rear
    Sealed Pump shoe
    800 grate
    D-plate
    NO Freeflow

    no FF, meaning your using the OEM SS?

    Thanks....With the porting, amount of timing, tight squish and 165lbs of compression it hits hard! I'm sure it would be a rocket with about a
    14/20 prop on it but it would give up 2mph+ on top.

    Yes, I'm using the sound suppression box. I did try the free flow and lost right at 60rpm. Seems this motor likes the back pressure. Now on the larger engines most use the FF and 1200 box.

    wow great job Ronn! man i wish i could see everyones face who told me a 1200 ported wouldnt make power! i have faith in your 80mph pass...keep it up brotha.
