In my non pro opinion go with the thermo and hot water removal method in this thread - www.greenhulk.net/forum

Just did this mod this weekend and it took about 30 minutes.

The link did not go anywhere. Can you try it again, I am interested in this also if the gains are noticable. Thanks.

    Try it again....

Personally I use the Rotax Racing 131' Thermo after trying to seal the fine leaks around the edges of the cap w/ the RIVA kit.

The RR unit really works well to keep the temps down on hot 100 + summer days when water temps are 80+

The Rotax Racing thermo is the best option. It's a complete bolt on replacement thermostat
    Rotax Racing 131 Degree Thermostat [4208] - $375.89 : PWCPerformance.com

FYI, just because it's a 131 degree thermostat doesn't mean the engine runs at 131 degrees. Normal operating temps with the Rotax Racing thermostat is 160 to 170 degrees F. With the stock 188 degree thermostat your engine will run 195+ degrees on prolonged WOT runs.

The Rotax Racing thermostat used to be 158, but after lengthy testing they dropped down to 131 for improved cooling efficiency/best performance.
