    Wanted : MSX 140 Impeller

Hi, Does anyone have an impeller in any shape that I could have for the price of the shipping for an MSX 140. I want one that I can cut up to do some testing with. It needs to still have the blades intacked but the condition is not to important.

    Cheers John

    John,
I have acouple of decent 202 props which are 7.0's but a touch different then the 707 in the MSX let me know i can send one out

I do have a 140 prop too but the clearance on it is really bad
if you want either or both let me know

Thanks Bob, I take the 140 prop if thats ok. Overall conditions not really important as I'm going to cut the blades down untill it has just enough drive to allow the ski to run on one cylinder in the water as I'm trying to make a poor mans dyno to tune some domes I'm making.

Why not install a shallow pitch impeller from a lower power Polaris model?

Like a 1994-1995 SL 650 impeller (148mm SL 650 impeller is 5131056). That at least would be a closer starting point regarding impeller load vs engine power, and the blades would not need to be trimmed nearly so much. In fact, all it may need is modest blade bending to get the reduced pitch you need. I would think you would have much less turbulence within the jet pump if the blades remain at full diameter.

    Not me.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few laying around the shelves of other GH members.

eBay has a couple right now, but the prices aren't much of a bargain.

You might even find one closer to you.

Thanks for that Bob, look forward to them turning up. Keith- The earthquake didn't affect us directly as we are quite a few hundred k's away. But my cousins wife died in the CTV building when it colapsed. The earthquake seems to be affecting our whole country especially with a population of just 4 million. Sure feel sorry for Japan at the moment.

    John
