2010 sxr 800
im new to the world of stand ups... just got it today, not yet rode it yet... but this is a question on how to remove the regulation letters on the side... ive put on tons of them , but never had to take them off. i was wondering if any one had any tips for removing them, because the guy who had it before me did a bad job and it looks bad.

Heat gun. Don't get too wild with it, just warm them up a bit and they should peel off fairly easily.
Clean off any adhesive with some naptha or Varsol.

hair dryer works also, and does not get as hot. ( safer).
i use acetone to remove any old gue.

3M makes a spray just for that. I have some at home and can get you the 3M number if you want. i have used it on all four of my skis and used lighter fluid to remove residue. Worked like a champ.

heat gun works the best. just use an old rag to peal up one corner and then just pull the rest off with your hands
