    Stock RXP-X Intercooler Reinforcement Question

I just installed a Riva Open Loop Kit, and Im only spinning about +/- 8600 in my ski. Its a stock class legal boat so I cant run any a/m IC's, but I have been reading about people swelling the X intercoolers and wiping out motors. I also had seen that people are reinforcing the stock ones. Who does this and how? Any help is always appreciated.

The link below is jacked from Reids thread, this will give you an idea of how it's done... There is another thread awhile back that Gus13Letter did on his cooler... Ried did the whole damn cooler. Most I've seen just do the ends

This is pretty much how i've seen most guys do it, this was jacked from Gus's old thread...These pics are prior to welding.

@Rory. Yeah I was wondering the same thing. However its not like your increasing the performance over stock...

@ Mike. Haha I didn't see the welds until I went into the link. Garage was nice today. Didn't even have to roll the door down

Don't matter, if they haven't published a notice saying the ICers can be re inforced you can't change it. best bet is to email the IJSBA and ask them, then go to your race organizer with the info just to make sure your not going to get DQed.
