    780 Fuji vs. 700 domestic

With all things being equal between hulls, which engine will be the better performer and why? Just curious to know how my SLTH 700 will compare tto my friend's SLT 780.

    1999 SLTH vs. 1996/1997 SLT 780?

    1996 SLT 780 rated 90HP
    1997 SLT 780 rated 95HP

    1999 SLTH rated 95HP

Those hulls have some differences, don't they?

Slightly different jet pump/impeller/nozzle configurations? Small differences in the hull bottoms, sponsons?

'Wet' (running at speed, with water in the engine cooling system) hull weights, plus fuel tank capacity?

Different impeller otherwise the pump should be the same. The 700 has a 12/17 while the 780 has a 15/20 I believe. I don't think there are any other differences between the two. Overall weight is the same 595 pounds a piece. I am looking for confirmation in my belief that these two skis should perform about the same or if they are a lot different, what those differences might be.

Somehow I have my doubts that two PWC with very different engines are EXACTLY the same weight. I suspect one or both those listed dry weights may be inaccurate.

I got those specs from the Polaris manuals. I would guess that the 700 SLTH would most likely be similar in performance to a Virage 700, the only real difference being dual carbs on the SLTH and a single carb on the Virage.
