2002 Genesis 1200 DI no fuel and no spark

Just like the title says i have a 2002 1200 DI and the fuel pump isn't running and im not getting any spark. Im wondering if its the Ficht EMM. Just did one of those in a Kawi ultra 130 DI. Any ideas? The fuel pump is getting power

Does the fuel pump run if you ground the Brown wire at the fuel pump connector? That is how the EMM turns the fuel pump on.

The EMM only turns the fuel pump on if the EMM senses that the engine is rotating (not the Start button being pressed), and the EMM itself has 12 volt power.

Check the EMM fuse/breaker, the diagnostic 4-pin loop-back connector, CPS, and stator connections.

After sitting untouched (lanyard in place) for more than five minutes, what does the MFI display do when you crank the engine? Does it 'wake up' with a full LCD test cycle, or just sit there as if the engine was not cranking?

Another possibility is the LR-503 Start/Stop module. You can bypass it for a test. See my signature links for the details.

With the lanyard clipped in and sitting for more than 5 minutes the dash does nothing when you crank the engine.

That means the EMM doesn't see the engine is rotating. So the EMM has a problem, or something feeding the EMM isn't working as it should.

As a test, unplug the TPS 3-pin connector from the rear end of the throttle body. Does that make any difference when you crank the engine?

BTW, if the lanyard switch is bad or the lanyard is not in place, the EMM will not wake up.
