    Cooling water Pilot outlet

2001 XL800 there are 2 water indicator outlets on on each side of the hull in front of the handle bars. The right side flows all the time. The left side does not. I have traced the right side back to the engine head and the left side to the exhaust coupling. Is water suppose to exiting out of BOTH outlets? Thanks.

if your talking about running on the hose on the trailer its ok if it isn't. If you want to see both sides rest the trailer tongue on the ground, you need to lower the nose which usually helps. If its in the water up at speed yes you NEED to see it coming out from both sides.

Yeah, it's on a hose. Not in the water. Is the exhaust suppose to fill and then go out the pilot?

I have an 06 gp1300r, is the water pilot supposed to work on the hose with these? even on the water ive only ever seen a hot drizzle coming out i took the hoses off the exhaust and blew them out but dont think there was any blockage.

most of the time there is NOT enough water pressure to force water out these outlets on a flush hose pipe, How ever there should be a nice stream out these at anything above a idle in the water. Tommy Jordan
