Boat, who needs a stinking Boat? The wife and I have done it on our RXT once and our RXTX 2 times.

RXT/RXT-X? Who needs a stinking PWC I'm yet to make the trip myself, but I have some friends who do an annual pilgrimage by kayak. (JK and yanking your chain, Troy). Really, I would like to do this, but for some reason I'd rather try it by kayak, first. My friends usually go to Cat Island on their trip and spend at least one night out there.

If you left kinda early in the morning before the wind picks up, its totally doable by kayak. We went last summer and the fort was open. Really neat. We never have gone to Cat Island, but we cruised over to Horn Island last year.

Troy, didn't you leave some top water floating chum out there on that island?

i would love to hit up Cat Island. My parents did it in a Cobea. I am afraid of the waves after the wind picks up.

that may be a good idea to spend the night and come back when the wind is light the next morning.

Yeah, my friends have usually gone in the cold months. You gotta wear wet suits and the water is chilly, but there are no mosquitoes and it' nice to sit out by a fire.
