    GP 1200R oil inside stator

    hi guys, i wonder where the oil came from, inside the stator coil? no spark problem i tried to check voltage on pulser and lighting... low... so i checked the stator, and i found out oil inside, could it came from the oil pump?>

    You may want to do a pressure test on your motor, a leak at the case seal or a crank seal could cause that. If it was your oil pump, you would see it more on the outside.

    I would have to guess the oil pump

    check the oil pump drive shaft to see if its loose in the pump housing

    what is the normal compression of gp1200 2000model? and pressure test? still thesame it needs to hold 9psi??

    you can tell from the pics that the oil pump doesnt seem to be leaking

    honestly, Ive seen that amount of oil inside a 1200pv motor before, with really no problems

    engine compression should be about 115psi per cylinder

    and yes, if it holds 6-10 psi on the pressure test you should be okay

    Hey Rich, I have seen whatever is coated with grease from the factory liquify and lay in the bottom. I had no leak and had something similar laying in the bottom as seen in the pic.

    what do you suggest? reseal the engine? or only replace stator?
    is oil ok inside he stator?

    like Ritchie suggested, pressure test the engine, if it passes, clean it up and put it together...
