How about the line to the engine is plugged or the plug in the 3-way popped out.

i got a valve on it, but all the water from the strainer is going through the new 1/2" cooling line to the intercooler and not through the oem engine cooling.... when i keep the revs up its ok but still low flow through the engine cooling

am i right in thinking you got 2 fittings in the strainer one for engine and one for intercooler.

one fitting then. the half inch line is less restrictive so the low pressure water at idle will take the route with least restriction there fore its starving your engine at idle, i'll have a think and call you. can you use the pisser to feed additional water to the engine ???.

we had that problem on a friends ski, your riva strainer is in backwards if im not mistaking, take it apart and double check it.

You will get some flow, Take the riva strainer out and make sure the hole is pointing forward, You will not believe how many people make that mistake.

    Ian,
I have my water routed the same way. 1/2" dedicated line to the JD IC. I plugged the OEM IC line and the "x" fitting to the engine is the same. I have no issues at idle. How do u have the IC water exits routed ? Check your OEM line to the engine for a split in the hose or a leak somewhere. I have heard of the OEM engine cooling lines splitting because of too much water pressure and not enough relief.
