    Kawasaki Ultra 300x v's Ultra 300lx

    Hi

Just wondering what are the exact differences between these 2 pwc's?

I understand the 300x is available in Ebony/Lime Green or Ebony/Sunbeam Red and the 300lx is only been released in one color choice of Metallic Titanium/Luminous Vintage Red.

Besides the cruiser style seat on the 300lx and the addition of the GPS holder on the handle bars of the 300lx are their any other known differences between these 2 pwc's?

Does anyone know if the GPS holder in the 300lx also supply's power to the gps or is it just a holder?

As I prefer the 300x in ebony/lime green color and I also want the gps holder off the 300lx do you think the gps handlebar holder will be available separately as a part that I can install on my soon to purchase 300x? Does anyone have this part number and know if it is an easy fit?

What other accessories do people buy from their Kawasaki dealer with their new 300x's...at the moment I am looking at a full cover, bow storage bag and programming me up an extra key before shipping it all to Australia.

    regards,

    OZFXSHO

Beside what you have pointed it's exactlly the same ski and yes the handlebar cover is interchangeable from LX to X,but there is more then just the cover that need to be changed, there is a pad under the cover,a holder and the gps cover. It going to cost around $120 US. The oem ful cover for 2011 is only listed in grey if you want green then go with a 2010, nowhere on it there is mention of the model, they are all made the same. The 2010 green cover #W99995-467, The bow storage bag # W99995-468, the handlebar part you'll need is the cover,# 39087-3739-6z, the pad,# 39156-3850 the GPS cover # 14091-3829, the holder,# 13280-3759

    Hi

To: brisyl, I do not know how to thankyou enough with the information you have provided in the above post. I have ordered the 4 bits I need to be able to hold a gps on my Ultra 300x. I am going to stick with the grey colored cover as I like it to be a surprise for me when I take it off and see the green color of the pwc! Also may I ask where did you get the part numbers from?

A question to you or anyone else out their. I noticed the 300lx is pictured with a Garmin GPSMAP 76 in its holder which measures 2.7"w x 6.2"h x 1.2"d, I wonder if the same holder can accept the newer Garmin GPSMAP 78 series which supersedes the 76 series and is slightly smaller in size at: 2.6"w x 6.0"h x 1.2"d, so the depth is the same but the height and width is fractionally less.

    regards,

Compatible handle pad is able to accommodate GARMIN 72/76 Series GPS devices (including 76C and 76CSx) but nowhere they mention the 78 series or others

    Hi

Does anyone know of a shop in the US that can test if a 300lx can have a Garmin GPSMAP 78SC put in its holder? It would be a shame if it doesn't fit nicely as the Garmin 72 & 76 series are now going to be classed as old models.

My dream pwc is on its way....a green 2011 Kawasaki Ultra 300x with the gps mount off the 300lx and hopefully a Garmin GPSMAP 78SC in it!

    regards,

    Hi

For those of you wanting to add the GPS holder off a 300lx to a 300x you will also need in addition to the above 4 parts the following 3 components:

    1 x 92210-3768 nut,6mm
    4 x 155R0850 bolt-wsp-small, 8x50
    2 x 221R0412 screw-csk-cross, 4 x 12

    regards,

Hey OZ been following some of your posts/ threads and depending on what your going to do with the 300x you might be better off buying from a dealear here. My mate just bought a fzr and the price with warranty was very comparable (within 3k). If you do go the import follow my thread on importing, I'm more than happy to swing the names of the people we used to import. Good luck with your purchase, jealous as.

    Hi

    How are you MAX DOWNS?

Yeah I am aware of the March Madness sale exclusive to Yamaha dealers at the moment in Australia, their trying hard to combat import pricing. I have imported a few pwc's in the last 18 months and will view your thread and perhaps it may help me fine tune the procedure further and save some costs. Don't be jealous....fly down to Melbourne and have a ride of it, you are more than welcome. I would consider buying from a dealer down here and if I had to buy a Kawasaki in Australia it would definetly be from Craig at WCJ in NSW...the problem is the 300x's are not due in Australia for some time.

    regards,
