bleed/prime genesis oil pump
Does anyone know how to bleed the air out of the lines of an oil pump? I would feel better if I could do this to my craft. Thanks.

Fill tank up ,clean out inline filter(must do)take off pumpfrom engine cover ,bleed through hose to pump inlet , hold pump lever to maximum ie closest to cable holder as you can ,Use electric dril with a tee in the end and run it till all the tubes are full of oil .Take them off one at a time and let it bleed through to them .Once you have done this to all lines ,run for about 2 mins extra and reconnect pump and set index again .Done .If you are still scared run some premix for a tank

Thanks for the directions Bernie, I will give that a try this weekend. One question, I have a tank of premix in her already to go, but correct me if I am wrong. On the Genesis FFI the premix doesn't get down into the bottom end (crank) of the moter, this is where the oil lines feed too. So that the crankshaft is well oiled.

Correct ,fuel only gets delivered to the top of the piston .So premix will only getthere too .Tip some down the intakes if your concerned .It will get to the crank then
