    Most hours seen on a 1200 PV?

    OK, so 4-strokes can go for 3000 hours, what about 2-strokes?
    What is the highest hour reading you've attained on a 1200 PV?
    What have you done to/with the motor to get it there?

    jkr1300 i think his name is has over 500 hours on a 1300r. many guys on here are north of 200 hours.

    i hope to get there some day.

    lets not turn this into a thread of "my ski has 80 hours on it" , lets try to only post if you have more than 200.

    Ask Jim at Jim's performance, he had a substantial amount of hours on his. I can't remember how many, but I believe it was 600-800 range.

    what exactly are the rules?
    stock unmodified engine with no rebuilds or repair work to keep them running?
    or whatever it takes to keep them running?

    just asking if there are certain guidlines, that`s all... if the cases are the only original part, then there could be hundreds upon hundreds ya know...
    I don`t have 200, but 125 and counting!

    Surely the rule must be number of hours without a rebuild. No reliability points for having a GP with 500 hours that has been rebuilt 30 times......

    Let's say original cases, crank, and carbs/fuel injectors. Note if you've replaced pistons or not and whether pre-mix or injection.
    Example: '01 GP1200R, 260 hours, pre-mix, 2 carb rebuilds, no top end yet

    new top end is normal maintenance for a two-stroke.....new pistons every 100 hours, new crank every 200 hours etc.......we ride hard in Texas ( in winter also) so we seem to tear them up more.

    got a 2000 GPR here with 405 hours... all original everything (cat still installed, no waveeaters, no oil lines re-clamped, original intake grate, original carbs)
    Was run on Yamaha 2W oil its entire life
