Oem stock S/C wheel= 122 grams or 4.3 oz. R&D C-1 S/C wheel= 148 grams or 5.2 oz. E-Tec low boost S/C wheel= 110 grams or 3.9 oz. While working on some skis I thought some of you guys might find this information intersting. Tommy Jordan

ET makes great wheels but so much for their claim of being "25% lighter than stock"...more like 10% by my calculation.

151g...surprisingly only 3g heavier than the C1 considering its larger diameter.

Thanks. Now I wonder what the new C8 weighs.

Lighter has to be better in this case.

Wonder if that a new low boost wheel or an older one. Id be willing to bet the newer wheels are lighter than the old ones.

The B1 is 125g. Never compared it side-by-side to an E1 but Frank told me it's basically the same wheel, just has shorter blades. So I'd expect the E1 to weigh in pretty close.

Did they change the low boost wheels? I know they did some redesign on the higher boost wheels to get rid of the surge but don't know if they made any changes to the low boost. Even if there is a new low boost, their site has always said 25% lighter than stock.

Still, at 110g that's more than 40g lighter than a comparable C3, & when turning at 80-90k rpm, 40g is significant.
