Rebuild question Crankshaft difference 1100 Vs 1200 - Bearings

Rebuild question- So I am Worken on my rebuild and the crank I have is from a 97 GP1200 65 U and I have a 63 U 1100 case---- Looks like Everything is the same but the front bearing is different 1100 had a wide one and on the 65U they have one bearing and aluminum spacer? Was there an issue with the wide bearings this was the fix? I t looks like both stack up to the same length- The 65U crank is in real good shape and need to use this one for the rebuild-- I have the crank from the 1100 but has bent rods and damage but the front bearing looks good -- has 65 hrs
Should I take and have the bearings swapped out or do I just add a dowel carefully to the case were it needs to be to hold the 65U bearing?
I believe the coller is pressed on the 1200 and the front berring on the 1100 probably would have to go somewere to have them swap out.
Also for the case looks like no gasket is used so just use a sealant like 1211?

Use 1211 sealant, make sure cases are really clean ,also i place a little 1211 where the seals go into there grooves,i have not had a case leak, you can relocate the pin on the case to use the 1200 crank or grind a small hole on the 1200 crank bearing to match up with the pin on the 1100 case.I have removed the pin from the case and drilled a new hole for the pin to match the 1200 crank.the 1100 bearing is better to use but you can use the 1200 without issues.

If the bearings roll smooth and have no rust or pitting they should be fine,if the crank was rebuilt the bearing should be nice and shiny.
