the display is showing a code without pushing the button? it remains on while the ski is off?

    15
    Engine temperature sensor
    malfunction

    ah, electrical gremlins...
did you unplug, check and clean all connections?

usually when a temp sensor malfunction is indicated it could be the sensor down at the bottom of the stinger. If this is bad it will not start...

I am not sure of the sensor screwed into the number one cylinder, if that`s dead would the ski not start
Did you prove each of those sensors?
Look in the service manual for their values and test them...

    Welcome to the forum!

    ENGINE TEMPERATURE SENSOR
    1. Measure:
    • Engine temperature sensor resistance
    (at the specified temperatures)
    Out of specifications → Replace.
    Engine temperature sensor
    resistance:
    20 C (68 F): 54.2–69.0 kΩ
    100 C (212 F): 3.12–3.48 kΩ
    Measurement steps:
    • Suspend the engine temperature sensor
in a container filled with water.
    • Slowly heat the water.
    • Measure the resistance when the specified
    temperatures are reached.

    COOLING WATER TEMPERATURE
    SENSOR
    1. Measure:
    • Cooling water temperature sensor
    resistance
    (at the specified temperatures)
    Out of specifications → Replace.
    Cooling water temperature
    sensor resistance:
    0 C (32 F): 24.0–37.1 kΩ
    100 C (212 F): 0.87–1.18 kΩ
    200 C (392 F): 104–153 Ω
    Measurement steps:
    • Ice the cooling water temperature sensor
and measure the resistance when the
    specified temperature is reached.
    • Suspend the cooling water temperature
sensor in a container filled with oil.
    • Slowly heat the oil.
    • Measure the resistance when the specified
    temperatures are reached

    all sensor are good

If you disconnect the sensor on no1 cyl it wont start either ...I have an 03 also and I have traded back and forth between the two and for being arround 70 degrees not running front and stinger sensors are showing good readings ....10 ome resister on cat. should start without it. I have grounded batt terminal to block also ground from head to wire harnes rechecked and clean. Still scraching my head lol.

Welcome to the forum, why are you using a 10 ohm resistor? It should be a 2.2k ohm.

just put the 2.2 ohm resistor in and it started perfectly.......something tells me I have a conection problem with my resistors..That I can improve or is the 10k just way off. I dont even remember where I got the info to run a 10k. What do you think?

The older 1200XLT/GPRs uesd them for the temp bypass. I believe its just the 1300s that used the 2.2.

I believe the 10k is for the water temp sensor in the lower stinger. if you OMIT this sensor when doing the jetworks, a resistor chip is necc...

all of this info is here on the forum...
