Buy your 2-stroke oil now Before it's 10.00/pint.

Just picked up some R-50, and it was 8.25 pint!. it was 7.25 last summer.. Oil prices are making this stuff go up quickly.. Of coures the guy at the store says, that stuff is overpriced. i said yeah i know it is, but it leaves my valves in great shape. the guy says Motul 2T is the best to use.... I'm thinking, this guy doesnt know what kind of ski I have, or the type or riding I'll be doing and whether it has exhaust valves or its a 4 stroke turbo version.. Maybe thats why he's BEHIND the counter instead of wrenching.

Now granted Motul is good stuff but..Theres such a big debate between uses and users of any oil, its mind boggling to even begin to discuss it at length. Its funny too,, because none of you all have ever said use Motul!.. Ves Gold, Interceptor,R-50.ete yes.. Funny how they know it all behind the counter.. All they sell in there is yammis and seapoos..

Then he tells me that R-50 is not Pure Castor oil... DUH!!!!! Dork,, no shit, no wonder is says it right on the label Synthetic! Thanks for your help.. Did you want fries with that ? (actually its a 50/50 mix)

Then he says, at least it smells good. Then I thought, Well he got 1 thing right..

Anyone have a good lead on a gallon shipped for less than 8.25/pint?

R50 from rockymountainatv.com is $40/gal w/ free shipping if you spend $100. Check with WFO on here...he's a Klotz dealer. You can get the Klotz "skicraft" oil for a bit cheaper as well, which is a little cleaner burning than R50.

Keep it simple. Run 1 kind of oil only. That way you can fill either ski out of any fuel can.

    $36 a gal for R 50 is awesome. Most want around $50ish.

Correct you can't run the R 50 in your injected ski. It is for pre mix only.
