Looking to do a 13r conversion on my 12r

So I have a bone bone stock 00' 1200r, I also have a bone stock 05' 1300r and i love the way the 1300 runs and feels. I am kinda getting the itch to do a build and convert the 12r to an efi 13r. But I want to build it from scratch, I dont just want to buy someones used 13r efi setup and slap it in my hull. I want build it up from the cases to the exhaust I know this site has tons of info (i have done tons of reading already) so this thread is just to pick at some of ur brains for the expert advice i need to turn my stock 12r into a clean running and smooth 1300 efi. I would like to peice my setup together and build a brand new engine with new seals and gaskets here is a short list of thing I know I need to buy to get this project moving. I am hoping some of you guys could help me with the parts list i need to do the conversion on my 12r it already has an HO pump and the correct drive shaft the 1300 would require. Looking for more on seals and gaskets i would need along with any other misc items any of you could think of, any and all input would be highly appreciated.......

Current list of needed parts ( i know I am missing alot please bare with me)

    1300 cases
    1300 crank
    1300 cylinders
    1300 heads
    1300 pistons
1300 fuel system (rails and injectors)
1300 wiring harness with gauge and ecu
    1300 exhaust
    1300 fuel tank with pickup
    1300 Reeds
    1300 flywheel with cover

1200/1300 cases will interchange. You just need to cap off the pulse ports for EFI if you use a 1200 case. Crankshaft is the same for 1200 and 1300. For a 1300 you will need a 1300 flywheel and cover.

You will also need to decide if you want power valve or non power valve cylinders. If you go NPV route send me a pm as I have a mint complete set with pistons available.

I would run the 1300 pv setup with carbs. IMO better setup and more power. You have many options to work with in this setup.

Yup, agreed. Just put 1300 PV cylinders (and head) on your 1200 motor and rejet the carbs...DONE. Much cheaper and much less involved than going to an EFI setup, in a carb boat. The EFI isn't worth ANY power...just a bit better fuel consumption. If you have more money to spend, get the cylinders ported and the head cut.
