    260 rxtx ecu rs numbers

Hi Guys, On my RXTX 260 (2010) THE ecu numbers are 666322 this ski is meant to be a RS model purchased new in New Zealand. Going by the numbers on Greenhulk the RS numbers should be 666323 is this correct?
It has never shown over 70 mph so i am starting to think i have a US version, what do you think? It has done five hours now.

Sure looks like you have a "North American" ECU....... Some guys in Greece had the same issue...... If your getting up to 69-70 mph and the rpms drop 200-300 rpm rapidly and hold that speed constant, you have the wrong ECU.

SHould be an easy fix for the dealer to validate your ECU, dash cluster, and VIN of the ski, replace ECU with RS 666323 and your good to go.

    Let us know what happens!

Hey thanks for that, my prob is that the dealer that I will take it to is about 400 km away. The dealer I got the ski off is in the other Island which is worse. Do the Riva speed over rides work ok?? Cheers

Yes it should work but, your dealer needs to know he sold you a North American ski, not International! What about other customers? He could order the part and have it ready for you in the future for some other maintenance, and he should research how this happened in the first place. You paid a lot of money for something and should be correct, especially under warranty.

    Good Luck.

Now Im confused, the dealer I got it off contacted BRP NZ and they said all the 2010 RS skis in NZ have that part num on the outside of the ECU, they also said that you can not tell what ecu you have untill its pluged into a buds. The dealer also checked others in the shop and all had the same number 666322.
Another thing to pick your brains sorry, I have been on the ski today, 6 hours, showing 70 at 8040 some spikes of 71, no rpm drop at top end. What do you think??? (all stock)

Look at REF #5 on this site:

    http://www.shspowersports.com/fiche_...010&fveh=38607

Looks like the RS International ECU part number (420666327 replacing 420666323) has changed again but, is NOT 420666322.

If you only have 6 hours on the ski, it is not broken in yet and the ECU limits rpm until 8-10 hours depending on how you ride it. The speed on the ski is NOT, repeat NOT accurate and rounds up 1-2 mph. The only accurate speed we all use is from a handheld GPS. The North AMerican ECU will definitely reduce rpm at 69-70 rpm and drops 200-300 rpm to hold speed. The RS ECU, once broken in will hold 72-73 mph with NO rpm drop.

It is entirely possible your 322 ecu has RS 323 programing, who knows what BRP has done!

Bottom line, once broken in you get right to 71-72 mph pure stock with no rpm drop and hold around 8040 rpm (RS) OR you see the rpm hold 7700-7800 at 69-70 mph (NA).

Cheers again, guess I need to get some more hours on it and see what happens. We set up some bouys and did some laps, wow I love the way these things turn for a out of the box ski.

Interesting, what speed are you showing at that rpm?
