    VXR modded plate results

I just received a call from Jerry he was at the canal trying his new VXR, Speed was 66.6 mph. completely stock. Then he took the stock plate out and installed my stock modded VX plate and speeds shot up to 68.4 mph. He said the ski's handling was unreal. Awesome results Jerry let us know what you think about the ski overall.

Jim, I just ran 68.8 with your plate. That's a solid 2 mph gain.

    Keep up the good work!!!

Is Jim modifying the stock VXR plate or FZR plate?
The FZR plate makes the VZR turn better.

I cut inverted skeggs in the vx plate making it track and handle way better than a stock one. The design of the stock fzr plate create to much drag and it would take alot of machining to get the speed out of it so it's not worth modifying.

The FZ plate is actually designed to slow the ski down to keep the USCG happy. Like Jim said, it's not worth modifying.

This is the plate any FZ or VZR needs

Bone stock my VXR did 66.6 mph
After adding the Jim's modified plate and with some seat time I was able to coax a 69.0 mph run.
All this without ever lifting the seat off the ski. The handling with the stock VX plate is incredible, but with the Jims modified plate it takes it to a whole new level.

More good things are soon to come for this naturally aspirated beast

Yes, it's the same plate as a regular VX plate.
Also, I'm not running any spacers or shims on the plate. It was perfect as is just bolted straight up to the hull.
    Your mileage may vary.

I will just say, I was riding with Jerry yesterday both large and tiny twisty waterways down here and I was very impressed with the ski, the performance gains from only the plate and the handling of that ski. It definately got me interested in seeing what this ski is all about. Even out in the lake there were not many skis that could run with him and they were only the modded skis.
Jim you definately helped to unleash a beast with your work or should I say art.
