Thread: Intake Grate

Which intake grate is the best for top speed increases? I ride in mostly smooth conditions. I hear the Riva grate that comes with the Stage I kit takes about 1mph off of your top speed.

The Riva grate is the best out of all 3 that i tested.

They all take speed off compared to the stock grate?

Yep, they sure do, but the theory behind them is you can go faster thru chop as you stay hooked up better.

Only on RXP's it rides like crap on RXT's and hook up is not as good. I gave my Riva to another RXT owner and got it back again today. I cut the outside wings off and it better but almost like stock. You pay the postage you can have it.

Did you leave the center portion of the wing intact? If so, I'd be happy to pay the postage as I have an idea on how to improve it (may or may not work). I am trying to find a compromise between the stock grate and the Riva and could use a "de-winged" Riva as a starting point. If it works out I'll share my results with others so they can try it.
Let me know... Thanks

Does the offer above still stand? If so, I'll get you the shipping ASAP.

Have you tried Worx's or R&D's grate jerry?

I tried the Worx before with poor speed results. It had great hookup in the chop though.
