    1999 SLX

How do I remove the through hull fitting or bushing once I remove the drive shaft and bearing coupler? Does someone make a after market part, and if so where can I purchase it.

Not sure what you are asking.

The through-hull bearing assembly is just held in with a gear clamp and that stubby 'hose' section.

Replacement seals and bushing are available through multiple sources. Look for the Jet Pump section from my signature links.

I was under the impression that there is some type of seal or bushing which goes into the round hole in the hull where the drive shaft comes through so water does not enter the engine compartment. Are you saying that the rear seal on the hull bearing assembly is what keeps the water out?

Yes, when you are riding there is water inside that stubby 'hose' that holds the through-hull bearing in place.

    You are correct.

Part #10 in this break down houses the bearings and seals (parts #11) to keep the water out of the hull.
