    looking for a good trailer lock

    i always just used a regular padlock is there anything better.. i no if someone wants it they will get it but i rather make em fight for it

    There have been some good posts regarding trailer security.

    In general, you need more than one lock. One lock or security method is not sufficient.

    A few well chosen searches should find the info you are looking for

    Yeah, that second on is the one I use. I sprayed some Fluid Film on it and it works well.

    ive done alot of searching but i didnt find what iw as looking for now i did after this post i picked up the second lock in troyhebs post its better than a padlock they will need more then a set of bolt cutters to get it off .

    I am thinking like you. If they want it bad enough they are going to get it. But maybe if you make it hard enough they will pass on yours and take one that is easier.

    I got mine from a motocycle shop. It goes through the rim and around the trailer frame and then locks. Had it for almost 10 years with no problems.

    edit- you'd need a torch to cut the thing.

    If you are concerned about theft, then two different security measures are the minimum. Coupler lock and wheel lock, for example.

    And secure the skis to the trailer too.
