that is just an advertising ploy. but, yes, people on here have used the ICs that they sell. they are cheap, generic, and usually effective

Use the search function, lots of people are using them. Type 14 is the most popular for FZS / SHO.

I think RichieFZR was using one in his "Project 90 MPH" FZR project. It blew out on a weld.

I have used them with very good results.
While others that sell their own IC's may understandably have a somewhat different opinion I have never had one problem with Frozenboost products.

Many of the aftermarket IC's you see are actually modified or at least loosely based off of those IC's

This is some good feed back thanks. I don't know if you all say my other post were I mentioned that I removed the fins from the stock core. It seems to be working ok. I just wish I had the time to have done it in stages to see what the real difference is.

    Thanks

Yes , I am using one. It did blow out, but not on the welds.

I'm now using another F/B cooler.

+1. Tons of threads on IC's.

Seems to me to boil down to do you want to buy a "kit" that requires "only" removing the SC and intake manifold or do you want to "engineer" the mounts and piping.

I chose a "kit" and it's plenty for me as I'm not a PWM (Professional Watercraft Mechanic).

I installed a C3 wheel as my first real performance mod after opening the intake and exhaust. In hindsight, I think I would do an IC when I did the ribbon removal and then a wheel later if I could not do them all at once.
