    VXR and FZR speed limiter

How difficult is it to bypass the speed limiter on the FZR and the VXR? I did some search but cannot found anything

There is a RPM and boost limiter on the SHO engine. Both of which are controlled by the ECU. A reflash will rise both of them or a powershot will just raise the boost limiter. IMO a reflash is the way to go because it can accomadate more mods where as a powershot will really put you on the limiter.

ok, and we are talking of how much $ to reflash the cpu? and it will probably need a powershot as well if some mods is done

The reflash is 675$ in the online store with the "greenhulk" discount. Depending on your mods, you may need to use a powershot to fine adjust the AFRs.... but this really only applies to heavily modded skis. C1 or C3 you should be fine with just the powershot but checking the AFRs would still be a good idea.

Also- the VXR is the n/a engine so you woulnd't ever use a powershot on it. There are reflashes for the VXR tho. They are also in the online store.

is there any gain when you reflash a stock ski? how much a stock FZR / VXR can do without a limiter?

Absolutely! Huge gains in a stock reflashed ski. I'm not sure about the VXR because it is so new but the FZR will up the rev limiter to 8550 (on the R2) and up the boost limiter also. You will see a great increase in acceleration and good gains on the top end as well. To get the most out of the reflash I would at least get the manifold upgrade ($40) and a air intake if that is within your budget.

No problem. There's so much more info on the fourm. Check out the FX SHO library (sticky) and some of the builds.

not if you can get a spare reflash off the for sale section, put the stock one back on for warranty issues.
