    Timing advance

    guys need help with timing Percentage

    With 98 pump gas (93 us pump gas) I can rise timing up to 32%
    if I want to go to Q16 race gas how much should jump to??

    So that is 32 degrees yes???

    What boost is that at?
    What compresion ratio ?
    What RPM?

    All these things will effect the answer

    boost : 25 psi Turbo
    compresion ratio : 8,6:1
    rave : cutoff 9300 prop 8850
    yes 93 usa octane

    32 degrees is a lot for that boost on 93 USA, but if it lives at that I would go to 37
    Any more than that shouldnt make a huge amount of difference any way.
    You could try a quick test at 40 but I reakon it wound not be worth even 100 rpm gain.

    That is what I meant "using Q 16"
    I havent had a lot to do with Q16 so I am reluctant to predict anything too agressive
    You should be fine at 37 degrees useing Q16 and any more than that wont make that much difference any way.
    The only way for me to be sure is fit a knock system and test.

    So is there big deferent in power between Q16 and pump gas 93 us
