I need help in an Impeller Install on my FZS
I am not sure about the impeller install on my FZS, totally different from my RXP...
I cannot get the driveshaft off the impeller, when I removed the pump the driveshaft came out, is the supposed to happen? the Solas I purchased came with a tool to remove the impeller but my problem is the driveshaft, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes shaft stays with pump. You need the driveshaft holder for the sho shaft. Its about $30 here at the online store. Then you need to put the driveshaft holder in a vise to keep it from moving. Then with a wrench remove the prop clockwise ( it is a left hand thread). You will need to give a good kick on the wrench to get it loose. goodluck

Note: Pump to your right, shaft to your left and pull down.

I'm assuming you're removing the stock prop. You'll need a 27mm wrench but I haven't been able to find that size in 6-pt so you can use 1-1/16 6-pt. The stock props are torqued on real tight & using a 12-pt wrench is likely to slip & damage the impeller.

You might be able to borrow the shaft holding tool from your local dealer. The dealer here let me borrow one. Also, 27mm and 1 1/16" are a little loose. I used a 26mm...it was a tight fit, but if you slide it on straight, it will fit, and I used a 12 pt no problem, although 6 point would be better, but couldn't find one around here. Go to www.sholibrary.com and print the pages from the service manual.
