    i have no choice coz we dun have professional here doin epoxy resins
    i ask the repairman to took off the OEM pump reinforcement and grind the surface till it very rough and then lay the fiber on it,hope it will works

    you also need to take off the mounts and put them back on over the top of the repair

    i aready took off the side mounting and i dun think so i will put it back on.i think the oem mounting is useless
    i hate Yamaha!i hate the clutch i hate the Nano hull!

    If you dont mind me asking, did the tunnel crack and where did you find the crack?
    I have one with a small leak and can't seem locate it.
    I hate Nano also!!!!

    i think u should fill up your hull with water and see is there any leaking from below the hull..i think we off shore riders have to be aware
    of their pump tunnel!

    Did you use Epoxy resin ? Epoxy resin is the only thing that will work on sheet moulded compound (smc)....I used carbon fiber and epoxy resin on my gpr and it is strong to this day....hope this helps you

    Unless he prepared the NanoXcel surface, it probably will not stick. I have a friend that is a boat builder and is very familiar with SMC and he even called Yamaha to talk about the new NanoXcel material. The way that the NanoXcel hulls are built is very different than the older SMC. The problem is that *wax* is built into the NanoXcel material so it can be pulled away from the mold after it is heated and compressed. So you must use a chemical to remove the wax from the pores/surface of the NanoXcel before you try to bond the epoxy. If you don't do that, it will not stick well and will peel off at some point. That is the reason why all the NanoXcel "repairs" are failing.
