Question differences between the oem battery and the riva racing batteries....?

im trying to decipher between the two being they cant ship the acid with our OEM style batteries........
is the riva racing sealed battery THE BEST ROUTE? http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=458

Or would i be best buying the OEM replacement and going through the trouble? http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...oducts_id=1076

WHICH ONE IS BEST for durability, reliability, easy/quick to charge?? and if anyone knows the life of the both, that be great. thanks!

well, the reason i ask is bc that sucker only last 3 summers!
i have the battery tender but i just feel like i should get more performance out a battery than that.
maybe i charged it with the wrong charger 1 time. i remember buying one from a local hardware store to do a quick charge and I'm assuming that messed it up.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF THE OEM BATTERIES?

+1 Get a Deka ETX30LA. It will fit just like the OEM and it is an AGM battery. The Riva is just a Gel cell battery. For the money of the Riva, get a AGM. Battery battery for less cost. There are a bunch of posts on batteries, search like K447 mentioned. More than you would wanna know here.

Thanx guys. i wanna give jerry's store my purchase but i would hate to have to go the distance of getting the acid afterwards rather than driving to the dealer for the battery with the acid. Would i get charged for battery acid at the local store?

Acid? Don't be messing with acid.

One of the many advantages of factory sealed AGM batteries is that the battery arrives ready to use. No acid to install, no pre-charging the battery before use. It arrives charged, ready to install and start your engine.

Even better, because AGM batteries cannot leak (even if punctured) they can be shipped without worry or restriction.

Jerry sells AGM batteries made by Odyssey.
