    Waveblaster 1100 setup

Heys guys, just looking for some insight on my yamaha 1100 triple. Not to familiar with the triples but currently my motor is completely stock and i have a skat trac 13-18 swirl impellor. Yes the 1100 is in a waveblaster.

    Couple of questions first off,

I have a good price on an msd ignition is it worth puttin on the tripple? With a stock motor is it worth putting on? I no it made a huge improvement on my 701 with pipe carb and head.

Second, i have a sport port template for the 701 engine, since the 1100 diamater bore is the same size would it be worth doing some slight port work nothing extensive basically opening up the exhaust and cleaning up the transfers on the 1100?

Finally what are some good modifications for the 1100 motor if i was looking to get a little more out of it. Triple pipes arnt an option in the blaster hull but what else is a worth while mod on these triples.

    Thanks for the help guys,

The 1100 ports to the liner match are very poor a good match up between the ports and the liner will go along wayon helping performance. Keep the 1100 carbs (38mm) also to help with the bottom end tork. Cut the oem head for more compression. Last get a set of oem reeds/with cages out of a gp1200 ( 1997-1999) they are larger and will fit right in your case/manifold. These mods will wake up your 1100 a lot. Tommy Jordan
