300X mod for more speed
Called MACC RACING @ speedo mod.
#12 washers from Lowe's. You will need 10 washers.
Remove the speedo pickup from the ride plate.
Shim the front two screws of the pick-up with 3 washers.
Shim the rear two screws with 2 washers.
Went from 67.6 to 72.3 mph with only this change.
This way everyone will not call MACC asking the same
questions.......this is what all the racers did for the 300
mile race and worked fine. Speedo will read low, because we are
fooling the pickup so it does not read to the speed limiter.
YES> the speedlimiter is used through the paddlewheel. Use
a gps to verify. its just fooling the pickup./

You are a great man!!! This forum is being used for why it is here. Will buy the "mod" parts this weekend to have it here waiting on the ski.

I can remember just a few short months ago we were all worried sick about how to get around the GPS speed limiter. And all it takes to do that is just a few washers and a screwdriver! The ironic thing to me is that the GPS Limiter hardware probably added hundreds of dollars of cost to an already very expensive pwc . . . and the workaround doesn't even cost 50 cents! By far the cheapest 5 mph we will ever see! JB
