With an e-t low boost wheel would i need a fprl???

I really wanted a r&d c3 wheel but they are on b/o. Iam just wondering if with the ET low boost wheel I dont need a fuel pressure regulator or anything else with the wheel. Or should I just wait for a c3 wheel 3 weeks... I have a r3 ecu reflash... I am just trying to get ready for a local race in two weeks. Thanks again everyone..

I am running a ET low boost wheel at present with the updated ecu r2 reflash. I was told by Gleen at [email protected] that the reflash would provide me with plenty of fuel up to 17lb of boost with stock injectors. I also have a Powershot on my craft now but have it disconneted at present per Gleen instruction. Will test as soon as weather gets warmer. Hope I do not need to rehook up Powershot but have it available. Oldman

I definitely don't need a FPR with that wheel and the R3. Whether or not you need a powershot will depend on your IC setup, claimate, and a few other things. Best thing is to get an A/F gauge and take a look at it. If I had to guess I think with that R3 tune you won't need a FPR OR a Powershot.

Thanks Hitman I just just wanted to make sure. Etec thinks I should use it but I think they are just playing it safe.

Yes you do need a RRFPR the fuel map isn't enough on the Reflash

What reflash? An Etech low boost wheel is about the equivalent of a C3 and i have absolutely NO PROBLEM running without a FPR or a powershot. Only reason I run a powershot is because I have can gears and needed to smooth out one little area.

I'm looking to step up from my C1/R2 combo to the C3 or ET low boost wheel. I really don't want to run the Powershot, and from what I've seen R&D says the C3 is safe with the R2 and no Powershot. If necessary I can send my ECU back to R&D to fatten up the reflash for the C3 if necessary.

Subscribing to this thread though as I'd like to hear more on the ET low boost wheel.

Hey Hitman: how do you like the can gears? are they easy to install and what did you gain from them. Thanks
Hey Poof: The only reason I didnt go with C3 was because 3 weeeks b/o. either wheel is great and pretty safe. I just like R&d products but art does build great products also. good luck
