Just picked up a 07 ultra 250x, what to look for while thoroughly looking over it?

any ways its 07 250x red, 50 hours, full of service records and re calls that were done. ski was just in for winterizing a few months ago and had the annual check up done etc.
oil is new as well as plugs. the guy who sold it ( $5500 no trailer) was loaded and didnt really care bout the engine bay , exterior is pretty mint though. the motor has surface rust on the valve cover bolts. as well as a few other areas like the wastegate a tiny bit. i sprayed it with wd40 as i ran out of silicone spray, and will clean it up today as well. jsut trying to figure out what i should look for while i am cleaning. i am going ot take it to the river saturday to see how she runs. any and all help is appreciated. also curious if their are any cheap mods that can be done with out buying a kit,? intake, exhaust? on my 12f i added a u bend and removed a muffler, sounded nice, and did a custom intake into the bucket. anyhting like this possible for the 250x? also can i add a after market diverter valve?

Here are a few that I can recall. You can search on the site and will find a few great articles regarding them.

Overview of Issues we've heard about with the 2007 250X:
    1. Exhaust hose clamps coming loose.
    2. Silicone sealing in pump shoe and grate excessive.
3 Possible oil overfill from the factory or at the dealer.
    4. Supercharger clutch tensioner bearing fault or bolt coming loose with belt damage.
    5. Spark Plug failures
    6. Fuel in oil require frequent oil changes.
    7. Melting T on some craft

If you want to be thorough then check the service records to see when the pump was last serviced/checked or modded to a better than one oem bearingsetup. If never then 50hrs is the time not 51!

I have read that the 2011 pump is bigger, are you guys sure the pump shaft is the same size on the smaller pump (07) ?
