    Exhaust manifold

Is it ok to drill and tap a 04/05 manifold for a egt sensor on the flat part on top of the manifold next to the water fitting.

Hey Damo, the issue with drilling that far along the mani is you are not getting true readings of cylinder temps, it would be close but not as accurate as it could be.

I'm only running 1 sensor in the middle cylinder, to start with but I wanted the option to test all three later so drilled it all at once.

Yes you can fit the sensor where you are suggesting but it's not ideal IMO.
