    Turbo conversion

Hi i want to swap to turbo. But i want before to have clear ideas of what i want!!

Which turbo do you use? Model?

I want to minimixe lag and max hp.

My idea is to use before to 12-16 psi like stock sc and then maybe upgrade engine and go with higher psi.

    Suggestions?

    Thabks

What is your end goal? I think the Precision 5857 is an ideal turbo which has minimal lag and has really good top end potential. Or you can go with a Gt28 or Gt30. The Gt28 spools up pretty quick but has limited top end and the Gt30 has a little bit of lag but can make more power up top.

Orlando, what spools faster the 5857 or the 5830??

I will be looking at pulling the parts together through this summer and go turbo on the GP boat for next year.

I'm thinking that 18-20 psi is going to be quick enough and keep reliable.

The 5830 is a 5857 with a tial exhaust housing and a GT30 rear wheel on it. The 5857 has very little lag and with 5830 you will feel almost like you had a big charger in there but of course with the added power that the turbo will make.

18-20 lbs will run real nice!

    OK nice one.

I def want the Tial rear housing.

What AR is the Tial housing, Im guessing .63.

Made a correction, the 5857 and the 5830 are different which being that the 5830 you need to use a rear wheel of a GT30 to run the Tial housing.

    Hi ImAShark,
Now i put GT 3076R for my setup and run with M400 , so would like to know it has a SS turbine housing or not? If yes, i will make a water jacket on it.

    Thank
