    SC bolts torque spec?

    Do you guys tighten the SC bolts good and snug or do you torque them...I cant remember or find the torque spec on the bolts. 15-20lbs or something?

    15-20 lbs. Torque spec is 89 inch lbs.

    Make sure it is inch per pounds NOT FOOT PER POUNDS.

    hahaha.....yea i know. ive been using torque wrenches for years. guess my memory just isnt good for the SC. ive only pulled it off once before. thanks for the replies its going back on monday night.

    Lol. I was one of the not so intelligent peoples to snap 3 or 4 before I realized something was up. Hahaha. Good thing I could get them out.

    I just tightened mine like a spark plug "feel" with blue loctite...with a 1/4in drive ratchet. way too small to bother squeezing a torque wrench on that shit. I might have 10lbs max i think.

    The small housing bolts, and mounting bolts all get torqued
    To 10 newton meters

    I made this mistake one time when changing a water pump. I grabbed the wrong torque wrench and snapped the bolt clean off, leaving it flush with the block. Good thing we had the motor out of the car or it would of been run trying to get that thing out.
