    MSX 150 fuel filter

The fuel filter in my MSX 150 has rusted & has developed a hole in the side.
Is there any alternative to ordering OEM ? (there's no dealers in our state).
Can I get a generic Stainless Steel filter?

Yes ryco do a marine stainless one, less than $20 from memory. I thought you were selling this not working on it.

Cheer for the info on the filter.
I am in two minds re: selling or keeping, it doesn't run right and there pretty much is no one in Tassie who wants anything to do with MSX150's but I can still ride it (all be it with the problems that it has). Plus I don't like the prospect of the fuel spraying out if anyone was to buy it and try to start it.

Fair enough on the fuel leaking, I am heading you way for a couple of weeks can you turn up the temp for me?

Seriously if you can get it running right it will go forever on the smell of petrol and it has just enough power to have some fun. With a bit of tlc you can keep them reliable.

I believe you about the ski. Unfortunately when I put the good SIFB in it goes into limp mode (rpm is limited to in the 3000 ish) and the only guy in Tassie I could get to even look at it said there was a problem with the fuel rail and that he didn't want to really have to work on it. I don't know enough about fuel injection etc. to really have much of a go (other than pulling things to pieces and probably stuffing up more).

By the way, the wife actually really likes the look of it and playing on it - except for it cutting out every 3 to 5 minutes (not getting to full revs she could live with for the moment)

what's wrong with a "barmy" 19 degrees - mind you that won't last for long, and it's already getting chilly of a morning and evening (I'm thinking of retiring the shorts for the year soon).
Had some rellies over from Perth recently and they loved it - complaining about the heat over there.

Would you be able to provide a part number or web link for the filer?

Always good to document these alternatives to OEM kit.

I looked it up and I'm pretty sure it is
    Ryco Z200MAS Marine fuel filter
Well that's the one I will be trying this week when I can get in to get one.
Here's what I think it is:

Tried it today and at least that part of my problems seems to be rectified.
