    OEM Hose clamps necessary?

    Is there anything special about the OEM Supercharger hose clamps for the supercharger hose? Or can I just replace them with hose clamps bought at Home Depot?

    anything that sees boost or risk of capsizing should have a T-bolt clamp IMHO. spend the extra few bucks, plus there is always something that you need from mcmaster that isnt available at home depot.

    Go to your local West Marine and get a couple of the ABA clamps.

    These clamps are the way to go IMO. >>> CLICK <<<

    If your running stock boost... pretty much any clamp will work just fine. Just make sure it's fully stainless.

    +1, I've been running w/the above type clamps (ss & purchased from my local hardware) for the last 5 years (stock setup) when I did my original washer upgrade. Haven't changed them since.

    Been buying t-bolts clamps from Silicone Intakes. They go for $2.60ea and are 100% SS.

    You need 2.5" for the SCer to T/B. The exhaust is 2.75".
