    Trip Report

Be warned, it's a really long read. But, then again, it was a really long ride. This report documents a single day of travel across a portion of SoLA, by water. Nothing like going from points A 2 B by PWC. Of course, in this case, it was B2B - 223 miles worth

Great blog post, I liked the different points a view. I'm ashamed to say I actually learned a lot while reading it, kinda like watching TLC.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Writing trip reports is a habit I made myself get into... I recommend it for anybody that is involved in some type of "epic" adventure. I wrote my first report from my 1st cave trip which was about 6 years ago. Yeah, it'a a PITA to get done, esp. the long trips w/multiple folks - but well worth the effort. Having someone collaborate w/you is even better: You get a perspective totally different from your own on the very same trip.

And, don't ever, ever, ever change the truth: Good, bad, ugly... it's all part of life. Yeah, your wife & kids may not ever want to read about the last dumb stunt you pulled, but it makes for great reading/discussion as you get older. And, if it'd ever apply, your grandkids will really enjoy reading of your adventures.

Next time your out doing something special, take pix, jot down some notes and finish w/putting it on paper. I promise you will not regret it. I'm actually now writing in "reverse" by writing reports I never got around to doing. One day, I guess I'll have a little book hanging around the house... LOL.

If anybody's up for a "cave" story...? ha ha (Wrong forum, lol)

An awesome trip guys. That is quite a story and a good one. Having heard the condensed verbal version, I could not help but be amazed of how that trip finally came to be. One for the bucket list huh guys. Also I was amazed at how the Billy, Cody, and Shawn endured the long ride. They sure looked glad to see us at Gros Marina.

Chuck, you and Alex were a sight for sore eyes. Yeah, looong day, well worth the attempt, but it sure was great landing on some SoLA "bon terre" -that's "good land" for you Yanks - Gros, that is. My only real error was giving up alcohol for Lent, damn I could have used a beer, or ten...

Really, a cave trip? Ha! Coming in a day or three... gotta go through my archives...

You guys asked for it; here it is: http://southerncanyoneers.blogspot.c...tamp-test.html

After all these years, I finally went back and finished this trip report. This was my (and most of the others') first time under ground. To this day, it's still the longest (in hours) cave trip I've ever done. I was such a newb... A great experience w/a great group of guys.
