Towed Ski Without Clamp
One of my RXT 215's wouldn't start back up today while out in Tampa Bay. I was towed 2 miles back to the boat ramp by my other RXT. Never gave it even a touch of throttle, just idle the whole way. I didn't have a clamp with me for the ski that wouldn't start. Should I be concerned? Is it safe to tow at idle or do I need to be in the garage all night pumping out the oil?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Pull all plugs and turn motor over while holding throttle wide open ( this puts ski in drowned mode) if you dont have a 10 foot water spout when turning it over you might be ok. once you figure out the issue with the ski and get it started run for a min then check dipstick to make sure it is not milky. how fast were were you towed back, speed does make a difference

You don't have an issue - I towed mine at speed and didn't have any issue.

Yes you are probally fine towing at idle is pretty safe speed. I remember reading not to tow past 25 mph unless you clamp it off
