No need for the hose water until after the engine starts.

Don't run the water until you get the engine running.

Is the battery voltage strong while the engine is cranking?

How do you know it is getting fuel into the engine?

D.I. 1100STX is not something you want to invest time/effort/$$ if you don't have correct tools/knowledege about it. You may never get the return for what you put in.

Sounds like your EMM is headed south. Like the other guy said, how do you REALLY know fuel is gets injected to the cobustion chamber at the right timing. Fuel pump working doesn't mean a jack on DI.
