FX140 Water Pisser
Hey guys last time out someone mentioned my Ski did not have any water coming out of the pisser on the side of the ski. It never has any water come out of it since I've had it(over 2 years). Should it have water coming out of it? When I flushed it on the hose I squeezed the hose going to the thermostat housing(which is the piece the intermediate shaft lube point is correct?) to check for pressure and I could easily squeeze it and it didn't feel like any water was even coming up to the thermostat housing. If the motor wasn't getting cooled I would have a warning right? I've never had a warning. So I attached a picture. Shouldn't it be hard to squeeze the hose and water should come out of the pisser?

Hello there buddy,
You are looking at two different things. #1- if you follow the big hose coming out of your thermostat housing you will find a fitting next to the pump on your transom plate where the HOT water exits the motor, it could be a little hard to spot if you still have the pump OEM skirts still in place. #2- the small hose that comes off the thermostat housing is a water bypass line to cool down some of the exhaust system and then only if you are going at speeds is there enough water to make it to the side pisser.
You would have heard your over heating alarm go off or melted your motor if you had an over heating problem. I own a 2006 FX-HO and it does the same thing, very little water comes out of the side bypass fitting. I hope this helps good luck, Julio...
